We arrived! Spent last night in Hurdle Mills, TN and had high hopes of getting to Loretta Lynn's home, and her various shops. No deal. They have been hit hard by the flood that hit TN, and have not been able to operate. Seems the water took out the road to the house, and washed away some of the cement. They're still busy cleaning up! The KOA campground there was nice, but way too close to I-40, so we could hear traffic all night.
Got up about 6:00 and we were on the road to Hot Springs by 7:30. Got to this campground about 2:30. The facilities are very nice -- clean bathrooms/showers, a breakfast restaurant on site (how neat is that!) and a beautiful pool. Oh yes, they also have a fishing pond and ducks! We went for a walk this evening and noticed that there are about 8 baby ducklings too. The fishing pond and the ducks are a real popular area for the kids. Those ducks are going to weigh 50 pounds by end of the summer, as they're being fed by everyone!
Will post again when we start doing some sightseeing. So much to see!
